It was way back in 2007 that Lovebirds dropped the first Modern Stalking EP, a set of tracks that combined the producer's usual colourful and memorable deep house and nu-disco vibes with plentiful samples from forgotten records and dollar-bin albums. This belated sequel takes a similarly kaleidoscopic and celebratory approach, first wrapping filtered disco strings, trippy electronics and dubbed-out vocal snippets around a leisurely disco-house groove on 'The Sun', before joining the dots between organic deep house and tactile nu-disco on 'Run'. Over on 'Motion', he peppers a bustling, mid-tempo breakbeat-disco groove with weird noises and female spoken work snippets, while 'Reachin' sounds like a lightly tooled-up and dubbed-out re-edit of a slow-disco treat.
